~woods uranium green pedestal eye bath~

This gorgeous pedestal eye bath by Wood Bros came in a batch I purchased from an antiques dealer.

The Wood Bros. Glass Company was established in 1828 in Barnsley, Yorkshire, United Kingdom, and their ‘W in an octagon’ was trademarked in 1881. This uranium green moulded glass eye bath is a design No. 52, first made in the 1930s and produced until the 1970s. The mould was probably two piece, and the bowl was softened by reheating so that the lip was smooth.

The base is marked ‘MADE IN ENGLAND’ and ‘W’ (no arrows), one of the more common base marks used by Wood.

💚The felt heart was made for me by my wonderful sister.💚
